1) Data we collect

Booking form When you reserve your spot, we collect the fields you submit (e.g., name, email, and optional phone).

Traffic & diagnostics We collect basic event data to keep the site reliable and to understand engagement:

Page views, timestamps, and generic device data (browser type, OS).
For the “Visitors by Country” widget, your country code and country name (see Section 3).

2) How we use data

To provide core features (countdown, booking confirmations, real-time visitors).
To communicate updates you asked for (e.g., launch details after you book).
To protect from abuse and improve performance.
To comply with legal obligations.

3) Visitors by Country (real-time)

Our launch page shows an aggregate list of countries that have visited recently. For this:

The browser fetches country data from a public geolocation service (e.g., ipapi.co) and sends only the country code and country name to our endpoint /api/visitors.php.
For online user counts, we compute a privacy-preserving visitor ID by hashing your IP with a private salt on the server. We do not store raw IP addresses.
The feed endpoint /api/visitors-feed.php returns totals like “India — 12 visits (last seen 16:20)”.

This information is used only to display anonymized, country-level activity and maintain basic site analytics.

4) Legal basis

Depending on your region, we process your data under one or more of the following bases:

Contractual necessity — to deliver the services you request (e.g., process your booking).
Legitimate interests — to secure, monitor, and improve our site and show aggregate visitor stats.
Consent — where required for optional communications or cookies.
Legal obligation — where we must retain certain records.

5) Sharing & processors

We do not sell your personal information. We may share with trusted providers that help us operate the site (e.g., hosting, DDoS protection, email delivery). They process data only under our instructions and applicable law. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

6) Retention

Booking records are kept while your request is active and for a reasonable period for support and compliance. Country-level visit logs are stored in rolling files and summarized; we keep only what is necessary for security and analytics and then aggregate or delete.

7) Cookies & tracking

Our pages may use strictly necessary cookies (e.g., rate-limit or session anti-abuse). We currently do not run advertising cookies. If we add optional analytics or marketing cookies later, we will update this notice and, where required, request consent.

8) Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to our size and the data we handle (HTTPS everywhere, principle of least privilege, hashing for online counts, input validation, and file-locking on server logs). No system can be 100% secure, but we actively work to protect your information.

9) Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g., EU/EEA, UK, California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing; to object to processing; and to data portability. You can also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

10) Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your local law). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above.
